Crockpot Shredded BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

This recipe couldn’t get much easier.  It holds well and is great warmed up later in the week.  For that reason, I will make this on a Sunday afternoon to have on an evening during the week when I know we have a lot of running around to do.   The BBQ sauce is a little tangy and sweet from the Italian dressing and brown sugar.  I know that the ingredients may seem like a weird combo, but trust me, the flavor is great!  Serve it on it’s on or on a bun with some cheese on top for an amazing sandwich.  This is also great for parties or pot luck lunches/dinners because it’s easy to make a lot at once.  This is definitely a crowd pleaser recipe!

-Trim chicken breast of any fat and place in the crockpot.  I use the crockpot liners to make clean-up easier.  (Such a time saver!!)

-Mix bbq sauce, Italian dressing and brown sugar together and pour over the chicken.

-Set the crockpot on high for 3 hours.  Once the 3 hours is up, the chicken will shred easily with a fork.  Allow the chicken to sit in the extra sauce after it is shredded for about 30 min.

-Serve on its own or on a bun as a sandwich.  We like to top ours with shredded cheddar/pepperjack cheese mix.
