Dinner on repeat? We seem to get into a cycle of repeating the same dinners each week. I’ve been trying really hard to introduce new flavors and textures to our girls. Sometimes the new recipes are hits and sometimes not so much. This recipe was one I tried that turned out to be a hit!!
-Add diced chicken and sauté until browned.
-Add diced onions and garlic and sauté until onions are somewhat translucent.
-In a bowl, combine the ketchup, soy sauce and red pepper flakes.
-Pour mixture into the Instant Pot and place lid on. Close the vent and using the manual setting, place the timer to 4 minutes.
-When the timer goes off, release the steam valve to allow all of the pressure to release.
-Add the honey and sesame oil to the chicken and stir to combine.
-Turn the Instant Pot back onto Sauté method.
-Combine constarch and water to make a constarch slurry (2 tbsp constarch and 1 tbsp water).
-Add 1 tsp of the slurry at a time and stir. Continue to add more slurry until the sauce reaches your desired thickness.
